Who is Aviscribe for?
Aviscribe is for pilots with paper logbooks. That includes student pilots, private pilots, CFIs, commercial pilots, and anyone preparing records for a checkride, insurance review, rental checkout, or job application.
Does Aviscribe replace my paper logbook?
No. Your paper logbook remains your source record. Aviscribe creates a reviewed digital version that is easier to organize, search, export, and back up.
Can I review entries before they are saved?
Yes. Every extracted entry starts as a draft. You review the fields, compare them to the original page, make corrections, and approve the entry when it looks right.
What happens if Aviscribe reads something wrong?
You fix it before approving the entry. Aviscribe is designed around human review because logbook data is too important to leave to unchecked software.
What happens to the original page image?
The original image is preserved and linked to the entries extracted from it. That gives you a clear way to trace each digital record back to the page it came from.
Will I be able to export my data?
Yes. Exporting reviewed records is a core part of the product. We are prioritizing spreadsheet-friendly exports and formats that can work with existing aviation tools.
Is this built for FAA compliance?
Aviscribe is built with FAA logbook requirements in mind, but it does not claim to replace your responsibilities as the pilot. You are responsible for reviewing your records and keeping the source documentation you need.
