Terms of Service

Last updated: June 3, 2026

1. Agreement to the Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Aviscribe website and landing page at aviscribe.com (the "Site"). They currently cover the Site only. They do not cover any launched mobile app, paid product, or subscription—those are not currently available, and when they are, they may have their own additional or updated terms.

By visiting the Site, joining our waitlist, filling out a survey, sending us a message, or otherwise interacting with us through the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

We may update these Terms over time, including when our product launches. Your continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept the updated Terms.

2. About Aviscribe

Aviscribe is being built to help pilots digitize the information in their paper logbooks and turn it into editable digital records. We're an early-stage product, and these Terms describe how you can use our Site while we build.

In these Terms, "Aviscribe," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Aviscribe and the people who own and operate Aviscribe.

3. What This Site Is For

Right now, the Site is a landing page. We use it to:

  • Share product information about what we're building
  • Let pilots sign up for our waitlist
  • Run surveys and customer discovery
  • Gauge early access interest
  • Communicate with interested pilots

The full Aviscribe app is not yet available. App-specific terms may be added before or when the app launches, and those terms will govern your use of the app.

4. No Guarantee of Launch or Access

We're still building, and plans can change. We don't promise that Aviscribe will launch, that any specific feature will exist, or that you'll get access by any particular date.

Features, pricing, timelines, availability, and beta or early access may all change, be delayed, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Joining the waitlist or expressing interest doesn't guarantee you a spot, access, or any specific terms later on.

5. What You Submit to Us

Through the Site, you may choose to share things like your email address, survey responses, messages, and feedback. If we specifically ask for it, you may also submit optional files.

Please keep these in mind:

  • Only submit what's requested. Don't send us files or information through our general forms unless we've specifically asked for them.
  • Don't submit sensitive information through general forms unless we specifically request it for a particular purpose. This includes:
    • Full logbook images or scans
    • FAA certificate numbers
    • Medical information
    • Government-issued IDs
    • Payment information
    • Official aviation records
  • You're responsible for what you submit, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

By submitting content, messages, files, or feedback through the Site, you grant Aviscribe a limited, non-exclusive right to use that submission to operate the Site, respond to you, evaluate demand, conduct product research, improve our product, and develop Aviscribe. This right is narrow and practical—it does not transfer ownership of your submission to us, and you continue to own what you submit.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, survey responses, or ideas, we may use them without compensation, credit, or obligation to you—including for product design, feature decisions, marketing language, customer discovery, and future development. You're not required to give us feedback, but if you do, we're free to use it to research, improve, and build our product.

7. Aviation Disclaimer

Aviscribe is a tool to help you digitize and organize the information in your logbook. It does not provide legal, regulatory, flight training, aviation compliance, or recordkeeping advice.

You remain responsible for reviewing, verifying, maintaining, and deciding how to rely on your own records. You are also responsible for determining whether your records meet FAA, flight school, employer, examiner, or other applicable requirements. If you have questions about your obligations, consult the appropriate authority or a qualified professional.

8. Automated Extraction Disclaimer

As we build, future Aviscribe features may use automated extraction technology to read and convert information from logbook pages.

Any automated output is a draft unless and until you have reviewed and approved it. Automated extraction can make mistakes, including with handwriting, decimals, dates, airport codes, aircraft identifiers, aircraft type, route fields, time totals, instructor notes, endorsements, signatures, certificate numbers, and other fields.

Aviscribe does not guarantee that any extracted output is accurate, complete, compliant, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always check it yourself before relying on it.

9. No FAA Affiliation or Approval

Aviscribe is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the FAA or any government agency. Aviscribe does not claim FAA approval and does not determine whether your records satisfy FAA, flight school, employer, examiner, or other requirements. Aviscribe is a tool to help you organize your own information.

10. Acceptable Use

When you use the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, damage, or interfere with the Site or its security
  • Upload, submit, or share any content you don't have the right to submit
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to harvest content from the Site without our permission
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site
  • Attempt to access non-public systems, accounts, or data
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Use the Site to violate another person's rights
  • Reverse engineer or otherwise abuse the Site or its underlying technology

We may suspend or block access to the Site for anyone who violates these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site and Aviscribe's original materials—including our branding, name, logos, copy, designs, layouts, non-user-submitted product materials, and software—belong to Aviscribe or its owners, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any of it without our written permission, except as needed for normal personal viewing of the Site.

This section covers Aviscribe's own materials. It does not claim ownership of the content, ideas, or feedback you submit through surveys, forms, or messages; your submissions are handled as described in Sections 5 and 6.

12. Third-Party Services

The Site relies on third-party vendors for things like hosting, analytics, forms, email delivery, and similar services. These providers have their own terms and privacy practices, and we're not responsible for how they operate. Information you submit may be processed by these providers as part of running the Site.

13. No Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Because we're still building, website content may be preliminary, incomplete, or changed as the product develops. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any information on it is accurate, current, or complete. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aviscribe and its owners, operators, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, records, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Site. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). This limitation applies to the current, pre-launch Site; any future app or paid product may be covered by separate terms.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aviscribe and its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

16. Future Paid Products

The Site is currently free to use, and we don't charge for joining the waitlist or participating in surveys. Future paid products, subscriptions, beta programs, app use, or upload features may be governed by additional or updated terms that we'll provide at that time.

17. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms as our product develops, including when the full app launches. When we make changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date. Significant changes may also be communicated through the Site or by email. By continuing to use the Site after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes relating to these Terms or the Site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
