Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Aviscribe ("Aviscribe," "we," "us," or "our") is building a tool to help pilots turn paper logbook pages into editable digital records. We're not fully launched yet — right now, this website is a landing page where you can learn about the product, join our waitlist, share feedback, and get in touch.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this landing page, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the aviscribe.com landing page only. When our mobile app launches, we'll update this policy to describe how the app handles data (see Section 13).
This policy is provided by Aviscribe.
2. Information We Collect on the Landing Page
We try to collect only what we need. Depending on how you interact with the site, that may include:
- Name — if you provide it when signing up or contacting us.
- Email address — for waitlist signups, updates, and replies.
- Survey responses — answers you choose to share about your flying, your logbook habits, and what you'd want from the product.
Please don't submit sensitive information through general landing-page forms. Our surveys, waitlist, and contact forms are not the place for sensitive logbook details, FAA certificate numbers, medical details, government-issued IDs, or full aviation records. Please don't include that kind of information unless Aviscribe specifically asks for it.
- Contact messages — anything you write to us through a contact or feedback form.
- Basic website analytics — aggregate information about how visitors use the site.
- Technical data — automatically collected details such as your browser type, device, approximate (general, IP-based) location, pages viewed, referral source, and timestamps.
3. Information We Do Not Currently Collect Through the Landing Page
Because the app isn't live yet, the landing page does not collect:
- Full logbook images or scans
- Official flight records
- Payment or billing details
- Government-issued ID numbers
- FAA certificate numbers
The only exception: if you voluntarily type something like an FAA certificate number into a survey or contact message, it'll be included in what you send us. We'd ask that you avoid sharing sensitive details you don't need to.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Manage our waitlist — and send early-access updates.
- Conduct product research — so we can build something pilots actually want.
- Respond to your messages — and feedback.
- Improve the website and product.
- Send launch announcements and surveys.
We may also use survey responses, feedback, and usage trends in aggregated or anonymized form for product research, product decisions, internal analysis, investor and customer discovery, and marketing insights — as long as the information does not personally identify you.
5. Email Communications and Unsubscribe Rights
If you join the waitlist or opt in to updates, we may email you about product news, early access, launch timing, and surveys.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at evanwaller03@gmail.com. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send you essential messages related to a specific request you've made (for example, replying to a question you sent us).
8. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as it's useful for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain the waitlist, follow up on your feedback, or notify you at launch. When we no longer need it, we'll delete it or anonymize it. You can also ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 10).
We may retain anonymized or aggregated information for longer, since it no longer identifies a specific user.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. That said, no website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Choices
You can:
- Access — the information you've shared with us.
- Correct — information that's inaccurate.
- Delete — your information from our records.
- Unsubscribe — from marketing emails.
- Opt out — of marketing communications.
To make any of these requests, email us at evanwaller03@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, subject to verifying the request and any legal or operational limits.
State Privacy Rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable state privacy laws. We will honor applicable requests as required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
This website is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us at evanwaller03@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
12. U.S.-Focused Service
Aviscribe is based in the United States and our landing page is intended for users in the U.S. If you access the site from elsewhere, understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
13. Future App Update
Aviscribe's mobile app is a future feature and is not available yet.
When the app launches, we'll update this Privacy Policy to explain how it handles app-specific data.
We will update this Privacy Policy before collecting app-specific data such as uploaded logbook images, extracted draft records, exports, account data, payment-related information, or support-access data. We'll make those changes clear before the app collects that kind of information.
